Balancing Law and Creativity - Ginger was featured in the Fall 1994 and Fall/Winter, 1999 issues of Loyola Law Magazine as an alumna who balances law and creativity. Writers Kevin Davis and Laura Gatland noted that:

“After earning her J.D. Degree from the Loyola School of Law, Mance worked as an assistant public defender in the Cook County Juvenile Court where she began a unique partnership between her poetry and her practice. During closing arguments, she drew upon powerful imagery and African proverbs; touches that she believes helped her to win a significant number of cases. As part of her earlier work in Juvenile Court, Mance was asked to read her poetry during job training for new assistant public defenders to help sensitize them to clients who were African American.”  Loyola Law Magazine – Fall/Winter, 999.
